MATERIAL:  fir wood / 2 second-hand backrests

in a profound process I developed this chair for my mother. made out of two old backrests and fir wood, ambo valere represents my mother‘s character and needs. she can sit in the middle of the chair to relax or lean against only one backrest and read a book to one of her younger children. the special thing about it is that the child can sit diagonally on her lap. so it‘s a chair for one or two people. ambo valere is low seated which reminds us of women‘s strength. birth, breastfeeding, close to the earth and roots. this archaic aspect of the work is found in the trunk bench by Droog Design.
